Who doesn’t love a good cocktail? Especially one that is waste-conscious? Millie Tang is a renowned Australian bartender who will be sharing her knowledge of craft cocktails globally and has been featured as a guest bartender in countries such as Sweden, Finland, Germany, France, and Spain through pop-up bars and competing in international cocktail competitions.
She competed at the Licor 43 Bartenders & Baristas Challenge cocktail competition whilst representing Australia at the global finals in the Canary Islands with teammate and barista, Jessie Williamson; won first place at the Speed Rack Australia cocktail competition national finals in Melbourne; finished in the Top 4 as a national finalist for the Australian leg of Bacardi Legacy; and was the recipient of the Bartender of the Year award at the Australian Liquor Industry Awards. She has been featured in bartending publications, The Australian, The Courier Mail, and the 2021 Tourism Australia campaign.
Millie is passionate about educating ways to be more mindful of waste in bartending, and is excited to share her knowledge around how to source and build cocktails mindfully. She will be holding a virtual cocktail masterclass on June 9th at 3pm PST / 6pm EST and will be guiding guests through a tasting of Pure Scot expressions and the step-by-step process to make two original waste conscious cocktails. Millie will demonstrate how to make a Highball with homemade honey and ginger soda, and a Pandan Old Fashioned.
