It’s also a very inclusive sport. It doesn’t matter what your background it, where you have come from, or what your body type is, you will be welcomed into the world of roller derby with open arms. Don’t worry if you can’t even skate – most teams take on complete newbies and train them up. Before you know it, you will be a skating champ!
If you don’t like the idea of hitting a ball back and forth over a net in a game of tennis, you might prefer the idea of taking up squash. This game is a lot faster paced than tennis and will really get you working up a sweat! And, unlike with tennis, it is an indoor sport so you can play it no matter what the weather is like. Don’t know anyone who would be up for joining you in a game of squash? That shouldn’t matter as its possible to play against yourself. In fact, most professional squash players practice solo. If you do want to find some players to try your luck against, you can always find your local squash club.

If you love the great outdoors and want to get out and explore it as much as possible, then maybe rock climbing is the sport for you. When it comes to rock climbing, you do exactly what it says on the tin – you need to climb rocks! Eventually, you might be able to build up your skills and expertise that you are able to climb real mountains. But when you are starting out, you might just want to stick to a basic climbing wall. Most leisure centers up and down the country now offer these facilities. The majority of places will offer the necessary equipment for hire or, if you want to really show off, you could always think about taking a look at online stores and sourcing your own equipment such as good quality rope, webbing, a harness and, of course quality climbing carabiners. Taking part in canine agility courses is a great sport that your dog will enjoy and also gives you the chance to run around after them. You need to run around an obstacle course with your pup and guide them through all of the obstacles as quickly as possible. When your dog is just starting off and learning the basic skills they will need, it’s worth visiting the K9 Sport Sack website and investing in a good leash for them. That way, you can help guide them during your practice runs. However, they will need to eventually be able to move around the course without any assistance from a leash. But you can still run in front of them to keep them motivated!

You can run, jump, or climb to get around things that may stand in your way. For instance, you can jump over small walls and bollards, and you can climb onto buildings to run across roofs. Just make sure that you don’t end up trespassing as that could get you into a lot of trouble!
Do you want to take part in a sport that won’t leave you so breathless and exhausted? If so, then you should turn your hand to the French sport Pétanque. Unfortunately, the sticks don’t fly, though, but some team players run with them between their legs. It has become so popular that there is even an International Quidditch Association now!
