Are you a mom of a preteen? I have a twelve year old son who is changing by the day. One day he is still a kid and he’s content with his nerf guns and other toys and the next day he is “over it” and wants to spend all day on his computer while insisting that he is old enough to open various social media accounts. All of this can be very confusing for a parent, so I can only imagine how confusing it must be for a child.
The middle school years are a time for huge transistions in our kid’s lives and from my experience can potentially set the tone for the upcoming teenage years. It’s a time filled with a multitude of ups and downs, insecurities, independence and possibly a period of rebellion. I survived and made it through those years with two girls but am finding that the struggles with a boy are not identical and require a slightly different approach as a parent. In order to maintain the valuable connection with my child I have learned to allow him room to express himself in many different shapes and forms. One of these avenues has been with his sense of fashion. It makes him happy and I’m content and satisfied, so it’s virtually a win-win situation for all involved!
A couple of his favorite clothing items are the Laser Print Hoodies that I discovered when shopping online. Amazon has steadily become my go-to-website when it comes to shopping as I can almost always find everything I’m looking for and more. Another huge bonus is that it’s easy to compare prices so that whatever ends up in my Amazon cart is affordable and within my budget. My son is happy and so am I!
These two hoodies are really cool, not only are they made very well, but the design is so very unique and unlike any other I’ve seen, whether in a store or online. Both items are very light and made with a cool, thin fabric so they can be worn throughout most of the year. The 3D Digital Laser Print features character designs with a lot of detail, along with a drawsting hood and kangaroo pockets in the front. Although the sizing is for adults, I bought an Adult Small for my son. He normally wears a Youth Large but does prefer his jackets and hoodies to be a bit loose and comfortable.
Overall, I think that with a bit of compromise and lots of communication, the teenage years can be successful and enjoyable. Our compromise comes in the form of my son’s fashion sense which is super easy to do when shopping on Amazon!
