Christmas is my favorite time of the year. It’s not just about the gifts or the delicious food, for me the excitement lies in the decorations.
My family has a long time tradition of not starting out Christmas decorating until after Thanksgiving. Yes, it’s difficult to resist putting up my tree and stringing lights on the outside of my home, but in honor of this tradition, I do my best to stick to it! The day after Thanksgiving began with the task of retrieving numerous tubs, containers and boxes from my shed…all containing Christmas decorations. One of my favorite decorations wasn’t in storage, but had arrived shortly before Thanksgiving ~ the Candy Cane Sweetie Christmas Wreath from Christmas Forest.
This wreath is adorable and the best part is that it is actually a fresh wreath, deliverered in carefully packaged box with a gorgeous bow already attached. The scent of fresh evergreen was evident immediately after opening my package. Christmas Forest has an excellent selection of handcrafted Christmas wreaths to choose from and it wasn’t easy to make my selection, but I’m extremely happy with the Candy Cane SweetieWreath.
About Christmas Forest:
Rick and Ramona Holt sold their first Christmas wreath at Pike Place Farmer’s Market in Seattle in 1976. Rick was working in construction and Ramona was a piano teacher at the time. Looking for extra Christmas money to buy Christmas gifts, they harvested cedar boughs to sell to a local nursery. When the owner of the nursery said that he didn’t need the branches after all, the Holts decided to try their hand at making and selling wreaths so the boughs would not be wasted. They worked all night making wreaths and the next morning they sold their first Christmas wreath in Seattle, Washington. That was 40 years ago and now the wreaths of Christmas Forest have decorated thousands of doors around the world. As a family owned business, the Holts and their three grown children take pride in excellent workmanship and in superb customer service.
I’ve shared a picture of the wreath from the Christmas Forest website, only because my photo does not do it justice. The wreath is truly beautiful! In order to share a bit of holiday spirit with our awesome readers, we are giving one person a Candy Cane Sweetie Wreath. To enter, simply complete the options on the entry form below…Good Luck!
