When I think of buying a pocket knife for someone, there is one brand that comes to mind first and that's Case. Sure, you can buy a pocket knife almost anywhere but when you buy a Case Knife, you know that you're getting a quality made product that will not only last but also one that can be passed down from generation to generation. In fact, that is precisely how a lot of people come to have their first knife.
Case is based in Bradford, Pennsylvania (my neck of the woods!), and offers a wide range of products from the traditional folding pocket knife to a fixed blade sporting knife and even limited production commemorative and collectibles. I also recently found out that there is a Case Museum located in Pennsylvania, so I've added it to my "bucket list." Next time I visit my home state, I fully plan to visit the Case Museum and check out the rich history of these products. I think it's pretty interesting that Case actually began in 1889 when the four Case Brothers began fashioning knives and selling them along a wagon trail in upstate New York. Just look at how far Case has come from then until now! Wow!
I recently received a couple of Case knives for review and these just happen to be my very first knives. The first one is the Red Sparkle Kirinite Lockback Christmas Edition knife. This knife is of course, super sharp and would make an excellent Christmas gift or stocking stuffer, but I'm thinking of just holding onto to it for myself. It's so sparkly, pretty and looks like something I'd like to carry around with me! One thing that makes this one so special and one to collect is that it has a Merry Christmas message on the blade!
My other knife is the Lightweight Pink Camo Mini Trapper ~ It's so cute! This pocket knife has 3 1/2 inch blade and yes, it's super sharp! This one is too adorable for me to give up as well, but both of my daughters have already put a claim on it. We'll just have to see...
