Additionally, Hornitos Black Barrel Tequila and Hornitos Spiced Honey make awesome host or hostess gifts, so gather your friends and family and prepare for the ultimate Thanksgiving celebration!

While Thanksgiving is the topic of conversation and also considering how many times this annual holiday has been celebrated, it would make sense that we know everything about this day, right? Take a few minutes and check out the turkey day trivia below ~ knowing a bit more about this food lover's day may account for more interesting table conversation!

We celebrate Thanksgiving one day out of the year, but the first Thanksgiving lasted three days and did not include mashed potatoes, pumpkin pies, or cranberries. The first feast is thought to have included rabbit, chicken, fish, squash, nuts, onions, goat cheese and dried fruits.

The President of the United States receives two dressed turkeys and one live turkey every year from the National Turkey Federation, although the live turkey is not served for dinner. The President actually "pardons" the live turkey and allows it to live out its life on a historical farm.

About 280 million turkeys are sold yearly in the United States for Thanksgiving, and each year the average American eats between 16 and 18 pounds of turkey. Wow! Have you ever wondered how much the heaviest turkey ever raised weighed? The answer is 86 pounds which is the size of a large dog.
