Enjoy a toast at the Connecticut Signature Cocktail Trail

It's the perfect time of year to get outside and enjoy a good beer or wine trail, and now, Mohegan Sun is giving cocktail lovers another reason to savor the fall season through the Connecticut Signature Cocktail Trail. This cocktail trail celebrates New England's thriving cocktail culture and the restaurants, bars and other destinations that embrace innovative mixology. 

From now until through the end of December, Mohegan Sun offers a trail within the Connecticut Cocktail Trail, with nine fall-themed beverages available at various locations throughout the resort. Not planning a trip to Connecticut this season? No worries ~ although there are numerous cocktail options to enjoy, we have selected a few delicious recipes below so that everyone can experience Mohegan Sun's signature cocktails at home or where ever you are!


Vista Lounge's Vista Bella which introduces Crown Royal to Sour Apple Pucker and Grand Marnier, served with a cinnamon sugar rim and an apple wedge.
  • 2/3 ounce Crown Royal
  • 1 - 2/3 ounce Apple Pucker Liquor
  • 2/3 ounce Grand Mariner
  • Cinnamon
  • 1 Apple Slice
Preparation: Pour ingredients into a shaker. Shake well. Rim a martini glass with cinnamon sugar and strain cocktail into martini glass. Garnish with a fresh apple slice wedge.



SolToro's Brown Sugar Maple Manhattan with muddled cherries and oranges, Jim Beam Maple brown sugar and bitters.
  • 2 ounces of Maple Whiskey (Jim Beam or Crown Royal work great!)
  • 2 - 3 Maraschino Cherries
  • 1 Small Orange Wedge
  • 2 - 3 Dashes of Bitters
  • 1/2 teaspoon of brown sugar (be careful with brown sugar as it's easy to over do it, and drastically change the character of the cocktail)
  • Splash of water on top
Preparation: Muddle the cherries, oranges, brown sugar and bitters in a glass. Fill it with ice and pour in the whiskey. Give it a little shake and top it with a splash of cold water.



Tuscany's Fall Storm which combines Jameson Irish Whiskey and Hiram Walker Caramel Apple Liquor with a splash of ginger beer, garnished with lime.
  • 1 1/2 ounce Jameson
  • 1/2 ounce Carmel Apple Liquor
  • 3 ounce Ginger Beer
  • 1 Lime Slice
Preparation: Add all ingredients into a highball glass and garnish with lime.

Tuscan Fall Tini (from Todd English's Tuscany)
  • 2 ounces Bacardi Big Apple Rum
  • 1/2 ounce Caramel Apple Liquor
  • 1/2 ounce St. German
  • Cinnamon
  • 1 Apple Slice
Preparation: Add all ingredients into a shaker and shake with ice. Pour into a Martini glass with a sugared/cinnamon rim. Garnish with an apple slice.

No matter which tasty cocktail you choose (or try them all!) and whether or not you live the experience in on site, in Connecticut or at home, be sure to drink responsibly while enjoying the fall season!
