Disney Dreamers and Visionaries don't just Dream...they Dream BIG! #TomorrowlandBloggers

While at Disneyland a couple of weeks ago, I had the opportunity to spend some time with a few of Disney's most talented "Dreamers", Charita Carter and Mike Goslin. These two individuals are a part of the team that makes things happen for all aspects of Disney. They see things that the average person can't see and not only see it but bring it to life. Without these visionaries, people from around the globe wouldn't be able to experience the wonder and excitement that Disney offers like in the movie Tomorrowland.

Charita Carter is a the Senior Creative Producer and Development Manager of the Scenic Illusion Team which is the team responsible for developing new tools and techniques that supply Disney designers with innovative capabilities for storytelling. She actually began her career at Walt Disneyworld as Senior Accountant and after 17 years has managed a team that has been awarded in excess of 20 patents on the company's behalf. If not for her drive to "think out of the box" and follow her destiny, she may not be where she is today...loving what she does and helping to create some of the most amazing things for Disney. She truly has a passion for her work.

Some may not know that Charita is also a hand model (yes she has beautiful hands!) She was approached by a woman on a Tram who complimented her hands and gave her an agent's business card. She auditioned about a year later and was immediately hired. She envisioned a glamorous job with jewelry, and other luxury items but he reality was that her hands have been the stars of some very basic and practical products like Bounty Paper towels, Sarelee and SONOS, but this was part of her journey to prepare her by being on the set talking with Directors, Producers, Camera Men and Photographers. All of this helped her to gain exposure to things that she now brings with her in her role at Disney.

Mike Goslin is the Vice President of Production and Content at Disney Consumer Products and has spent the last few years developing a new, interactive game called Playmation. If you haven't heard of this exciting new game, you'll soon discover that it's not an ordinary video game but one that brings toys to life and gets kids off of the couch so they can use their imagination with super hero powers. Because of Mike and his team of dreamers, this interactive, smart play experience will bring super heroes to life for kids (and adults!) with characters from the Avengers, Star Wars and soon Frozen, with many more to come!

Mike has also let teams at Walt Disney Imagineering that have built a series of ground breaking virtual reality attractions including Pirates of the Caribbean: Battle for Buccaneer Gold, Aladdin's Magic Carpet Ride and Hercules in the Underworld in addition to a portfolio of awesome games like Toontown Online and Pirates of the Carribbean Online.

It was truly amazing and an honor to be able to not only meet but to chat with such talent. Both Charita and Mike are certainly two of Disney's Dreamers and Visionaries to keep an eye on!

Be sure to watch Tomorrowland on Blu-ray and DVD ~ Available October 13th!

Disclosure: This post was written as a part of a media event to celebrate the release of Tomorrowland for home entertainment.
