Reading Rainbow ~ Animal Cafe on DVD ~ @PBSKids

Take a look, it's in a book...a Reading Rainbow!

If you watched children's television in the 80's and beyond then you probably heard that song a time or two! The Reading Rainbow was a classic PBS series that encouraged children to read and still does today with a new online program called SKYBRARY

The four episodes and books featured in this DVD are "Animal Cafe," read by Martin Short, "The Tortoise and the Hare," read by Gilda Radner, "Ludlow Laughs," read by Phyllis Diller and "Giving Thanks: A Native American Good Morning Message," read by Nicholson Earl Billey. The Reading Rainbow aired on PBS from 1983-2009 and was hosted by LeVar Burton for its entire 26 years on air.

In this DVD, LeVar Burton actually takes part in a race and learns the tricks of being a comedian in addition to discussing how people show gratitude for acts of kindness and also how we can repay each other in acts of kindness. He takes the viewer on fun-filled adventures that they soon won't forget! This is an oldie but goodie that is great for children and adults alike...the entire family can sit down and enjoy this DVD.

Disclosure: I received the above DVD for review purposes, however, all opinions are my own.
