Lemonade Day in a Boozy Way with #Tequila #Cocktails

Do you ever need a reason to enjoy a refreshing glass of lemonade? Of course you don't but since National Lemonade Day is upon us, why not take that opportunity to mix up a few lemony, lip-smacking, end of summer specialty cocktails to toast to the day.

The ideal setting for celebrating this August holiday would be sitting under an umbrella somewhere on a deserted beach with an unlimited supply of your favorite mixture, but unfortunately most of us won't make it to a deserted island any time soon. So, instead gather your friends and family for a traditional barbeque or end of season picnic because Hornitos Tequila has created an awesome boozy lemonade cocktail that is super easy to make, will tantalize your taste buds and will have everyone asking for more.

Even if the group of friends is a guy's night, this adult concoction can be considered leMANade for any occasion to sit back, relax and enjoy a tall glass of lemonade.

If you're wondering how this "unofficial" holiday came to be, it seems as if the earliest mention of lemonade was in 10th century Egypt. The Egyptians traded lemon juice for other items and enjoyed drinking the lemon juice with a bit of sugar added. Today, however, lemonade is made in many different ways (and not usually used for trade) and served as a frozen slush, in a tall glass with ice or as we have here, as a tasty adult beverage.

Don't forget, when life hands you lemons, grab a few and make a delicious cocktail with Hornitos Tequila!

Hornitos LeMANade
  • 2 parts Hornitos Plata Tequila
  • 1 1/2 parts lemonade
  • 1 1/2 parts ginger ale
  • 1/2 part lime juice
Preparation: Combine ingredients in a glass and serve. Garnish with a lemon peel or slice.
