Ace National Golf Month with Sporty #Cocktails to Celebrate! #NationalGolfMonth @HornitosTequila

August is a lot of things to a lot of people but in addition to getting ready for back to school and this month being National Picnic Month, it's also National Golf Month

For the die-hard golf enthusiast there is really no need for a designated day to relish in the sport they are so very passionate about, but in the spirit of playing up to par, take a moment (or two!), stop and celebrate this amazing past-time. Gather your clubs, golf teaching pro, golf buddies, spouse, kids, grand kids, pets and whoever you can muster up and get out and play!

Depending on what you have planned, if the weather in your area is cooperating, or whatever else is going on in life, you may not be able to get out and play, so why not watch others golf on television or in person? This may be the next best thing! By the way, playing golf video game will count as well!

Did you know that there is really no firm evidence whether golf originated in Scotland, Ancient Rome or China? Many countries have their own version of where and how this sport came about but the most well documented evidence does suggest that golf began with King James II of Scotland in 1452. Apparently, the King banned the game of golf because it kept his subjects from participating in archery practice. In addition, it' said that a group of sheep herders became experts at hitting round stones into rabbit holes with their wooden staffs, all out of shear boredom.

Hornitos Tequila would like to add to the festivities and fun with a few golf-inspired drinks to enjoy during this month long golf celebration.
