Raise a Glass to National Tequila Day with @SauzaTequila!

There are countless ways to celebrate and embrace summer and one of our favorites is National Tequila Day! Tequila is one of the most beloved and revered spirits so it's only natural that an entire day would be set aside to enjoy and pay tribute to some tasty tequila cocktails!
Did you know that Sauza Tequila is the world's #2 premium tequila? It's true! Sauza Tequila is the most storied tequila brand, as it's been defined as authentic Mexican tequila for more than 140 years at the historic "La Perseverancia" distillery in Jalisco, Mexico. Wow! In fact, Sauza Tequila was the very first tequila to be exported around the world with Don Cenobio Sauza, the founder of Sauza Tequila, the first person to bring tequila to the United States.

Now let's talk "Margaritas", because you can't have a great margarita without tequila! Socialite, Margarita Sames invented the Margarita in 1948 and according to the legend, she was hosting a party at her hacienda in Acapulco when she began experimenting with cocktails. She mixed tequila with lime juice and her party carried on for two weeks! Thanks to Margarita Sames, we have this yummy cocktail and the margarita is the most popular drink in the United States.

Whether you prefer frozen, slushy or on the rocks (always with a salted rim!) the margarita tastes as good as it looks. If all of this information has you craving a refreshing tequila cocktail then take a look at the cocktail recipes below and mix up a few for National Tequila Day
