4th of July #Cocktails to Kick off the Holiday Weekend ~ @HornitosTequila

What are your plans for the 4th of July holiday weekend? No matter what ideas you may have for celebrating Independence Day, make sure you spend it having a good time. 


Whether you're going to the beach, partying at a backyard BBQ or having a small gathering with friends and family, be sure to get your celebratory drinks in order before the big day. These three festive cocktail recipes from Hornitos Tequila will show everyone that you've come prepared for this patriotic holiday and will have everyone talking (and buzzing!)

Hornitos Tequila has come up with three Independence Day themed cocktails to get you in the mood for the fireworks and fun. As you celebrate the birth of our awesome country and honor it properly, give a toast and sip on a few American-Themed cocktails this 4th of July. 

So, fire up the grill, get the sparklers ready and have a safe and spectacular 4th of July weekend! 

Star Spangled
  • 2 parts Hornitos Reposado Tequila
  • 4 parts Apple juice
  • 1 1/2 parts lemon juice
  • 1 part honey
  • Lemon twist
Preparation: Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice. Shake vigorously and strain over fresh ice. Garnish with a lemon twist.

Patriotic Plata
  • 1 part Hornitos Plata Tequila
  • 1/2 part JDK and Sons Fleur Liqueur
  • 1/2 part lemon juice
  • Lemon twist
Preparation: Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice. Shake vigorously and strain over fresh ice. Garnish with a lemon twist.

Firework Fizz
  • 1 1/4 parts Hornitos Plata Tequila
  • Strawberries
  • 1/2 part lemon juice
  • 1/2 part Simple Syrup
  • Splash of seltzer
Preparation: Muddle on strawberry, combine remainder of ingredients except seltzer in a shaker with ice. Shake vigorously and strain over fresh ice. Add a splash of seltzer and garnish with a strawberry.
