Visit with your Doctor from the comfort of your own Home with Doctor on Demand! #FeelBetter #ad

**This is a sponsored post with Mums the Word Network and Doctor on Demand. All opinions are entirely my own.**

I can think of several times over the years that I've had a medical question or a non-emergency medical situation that required a doctor but didn't want to take the time to go into the office. Just the thought of sitting in a crowded waiting room with others who have potentially contagious illnesses or trying to keep my two young boys sitting still completely stresses me out sometimes. Other times, the ailment is so small and minor that it seems like a waste of time to go in to the doctor's office.

No matter what your reason is for trying to avoid the dreaded waiting room or going into the doctor's office every time something happens, just know that you now have an alternative! Yes, that's right! I recently had an opportunity to review a mobile app called Doctor on Demand. This app is an amazing alternative to my non-emergency medical dilemmas and I consider it revolutionary for anyone like me!

Doctor on Demand is an online health care service that provides visits with providers via video using your smartphone, tablet, desktop computer or laptop. It's so easy to download the app and get the information you need without leaving the comfort of your own home. After downloading the app and registering, you simply provide a list of symptoms and are instantly connected to a licensed provider in your state.

Are you wondering when you should use Doctor on Demand? Consider this application an excellent resource for any urgent but non-emergency medical condition for adults and children. Doctor on Demand is not appropriate to use for a  medical problem that is life-threatening or may cause impairment. Below is a list of a few medical conditions that would be ideal for a Doctor on Demand video visit:

Non-Emergency Medical Conditions:
  • Urinary Tract Infection
  • Allergies
  • Sports Injuries
  • Diarrhea
  • Heart Burn
  • Fever
  • Strep Throat
  • Cold/Cough
  • Ear Infection
  • Insect Bites
  • Lice
  • Nosebleed
My complimentary call to Doctor on Demand was super easy and not at all intimidating. My two boys have had a slight cough and running noses for a few days and although I want them to feel better, again, the dreaded waiting room has kept me from calling their regular Pediatrician. Ugh! I was immediately connected with an online Pediatrician who gave me excellent advice and asked all of the same questions that our regular doctor would have asked, all while I was sitting in my own living room on my computer! How awesome is that? No getting everyone dressed and ready to go out...no driving miles to the office and using my gas...no waiting period! Awesome!

Give it a try! Download the app from your smartphone, tablet or computer and start using this ultra-convenient service today!

  2. I wonder how you pay for this. It probably is not covered by insurance. But I think for non emergency problems this would be great to get a diagnosis and help instead of having to go to the Doctor.
