Like many people who work at home, I am sitting at my desk, or other table throughout most of the day. I actually need to remind myself to get up several times a day just to stretch and get my body moving! Not to mention that sitting in an ordinary office chair most of the day has a terrible effect on my back, my neck, my shoulders and my butt! I've tried several different office chairs over the years and none have really made much of a difference until now.
I received the Balance Ball Chair from Gaiam for review and I was so excited to start using it! I've used a balance ball for years to exercise but never thought about a Balance Ball Chair. Awesome! Not only is the Balance Ball Chair really comfortable, but I absolutely love the fact that I can take short, but frequent breaks and get in some exercise and stretching without going too far from my work space. I obviously can't take pictures of myself doing this but take a look at the photo below to get an idea of what I'm talking about. After using the Balance Ball Chair for a few weeks, I feel like I'm definitely sitting up straighter while working and when not sitting at my desk as well. I'm much more aware of my posture, my back is stronger and I also found that I can sit for longer periods of time than I could when using a regular office chair.
