Animal lovers everywhere will appreciate this amazing and inspiring movie about a dog named Susie. Susie was severely abused by her owner and left for dead on the streets of Greensboro, North Carolina. She was beaten so severely that her jaw was broken and she was set on fire, all for simply licking the face of her owner's newborn baby. She was adopted by a survivor of not only a dog attack, but a pit bull attack. Since being adopted, Susie has since become a certified therapy dog and has even won the American Humane Association's American Hero Dog award! Awesome!
This movie is one that I am so thankful that I had the opportunity not only to review, but also to watch. I'm the proud owner of four awesome dogs and three lovable cats, so animals are a definite part of my family and the thought of anyone hurting them or abusing them just breaks my heart. Not only is it amazing to me that Susie survived, it also amazes me that someone who has suffered and has been in pain due to an animal attack still had the heart to take in this dog and bring her back to life. This story is also shows that there are good people everywhere.
