Straight Talk on Straight Teeth with @Invisalign #InvisalignTalk #ad

As most of you know, I'm a mom of four awesome children, ranging in ages from four to twenty. When it comes to their dental care, it's always been somewhat of an ordeal with my oldest daughter requiring braces at the age of twelve and my other daughter needing a retainer, among other things. My two younger sons have been to the dentist countless times and I anticipate at least one of them will need to have their teeth straightened at some point.

My experience with traditional braces has not been great, to say the least. My daughter, Amanda, absolutely despised her braces with all of the wires, rubber bands and difficulty that she endured eating certain foods but most of all her self-esteem was affected by the appearance of the braces.

Fortunately for pre-teens and teens today, there is Invisalign. No more traditional wires and brackets are necessary with the Invisalign Teen clear braces. They are removable which is awesome for brushing, flossing and eating certain foods. These clear aligners are able to straighten teeth without the awkwardness that comes with traditional wires and brackets and a mouth full of metal, eliminating the fear of injury during sports and the interference during activities such as cheerleading, singing or playing a musical instrument. Take the Invisalign Smile Assesement to see if Invisalign is right for you or your child.

Invisalign saves parents the hassle of emergency visits to the orthodontist for broken wires and brackets and since several aligners are provided in advance, fewer appointments are necessary as well. As a parent, I think that's awesome!

You may have heard the a myth that Invisalign is more expensive than the cost of traditional braces and that is not true in most cases. The cost of Invisalign is usually comparable and many dental insurance plans cover Invisalign just as they would braces. You may also be concerned that your child may lose the aligner and it will cost you an arm and a leg to replace. Well, kids will be kids, and that's why Invisalign provides up to six FREE replacement aligners to teens.

Not all orthodontists specialize in Invisalign Teen so be sure to visit and select "find a doctor" to locate the specialist near you!
