Animal Alphabet Singers Review!

This week, I had the opportunity to review a new app by Think Smart Games called Animal Alphabet Singers. The app is set to debut December 10th for all iOS platforms. It was developed by an award winning team, including Christopher Cerf, an Emmy and Grammy award winner known for his work on Sesame Street, and Between the Lions, as well as the winner of the McGraw Hill Prize in Education along side a highly esteemed team of experts including animator Jane Aaron, and internationally recognized educational expert Dr. Marilyn Jager Adams, Ph.D.
Big R LOVES when I buy him new apps. I don't let him play with my phone whenever he wants to, so whenever I get a new app it is a real treat for him. Of course, like many other 4 year old kids, he navigates this app like he ha done it his whole life! Here are a couple screen shots of the menu:

This is where you "Meet the Letters" It's so adorable! Each letter has a corresponding animal. You can choose to have the alphabet sung to your child, or after the letter is changed to an animal the list of animals is read.
The "Animal Alphabet Singers" section is where each animal sings their letter. You can choose a specific letter of the whole alphabet song. Every time the Walrus says the letter W both my boys laugh like crazy! I cannot stress how adorable it is. They love it!

"Meet the Animals" is where each animal is discussed in detail. I loved the graphics in this section, and Big R loved the Jaguar one because he "looks so scary and cool in the jungle."

So cute!

The last section is my favorite. "Guess the Animals and Letters" really gets your kiddos thinking. It asks questions like "Which animals starts with the letter B?" and "What letter does this animal start with?" Big R is at the point where he is pretty familiar with all his letters, and he is just starting to figure out which letters belong to which words. This section is so perfect for where he is learning wise, so we spent a lot of time here.

"What animal starts with the letter B?"

I am very excited that we got to review this product, and I give it very high marks! If you have a kiddo that is starting to learn his alphabet, or even one a little older like mine who is starting to identify which letters belong to which words. I highly recommend this app! You can download the app from your App Store under "The Alphabet Animal Singers" or you can follow the link here:
