Glass Handbag Review & Giveaway!

Links to this post

Like most women, I have several purses, handbags, totes, and evening bags but I must tell you that I have never owned a handbag like the one I received from Glass Handbag. Even the box and packaging is enticing. Once you open the cardboard box, you find the exquisite Glass Handbag box which is totally impressive! I could not believe how luxurious this bag was. Immediately I could smell the scent of leather and see the unique texture of this glorious bag. Additionally it has a metal link chain and matching leather shoulder strap for easy carrying.

I chose the Frankie Structured Silver Embossed Python Crossbody Bag with sleek silver hardware. This bag is perfect for when you need to carry larger items but still want to look stylish. There are pockets inside that are multi-functional yet appropriate for your cell phone or even your wallet.

The most unique feature is that each Glass Handbag is equipped with an integrated light system. This light system is amazing! Glass Handbag's innovative and patented feature is designed with the the idea of finding everything you need in your handbag instantly. This battery powered light immediately comes on when you open the handbag and there are two adapters inside the handbag that you insert into the light panel one is for the sensor, and the other is for the light. . You will never again be frustrated by low light or dark environments when needing something in your bag and if you're anything like me, I'm always looking for my keys.

Celebrities have even discovered this handbag phenomenon! Gladys Knight, Carrie Ann Inaba, Nicey Nash and Karina Smirnoff are just a few stars who are carrying Glass Handbags!

I am truly amazed and mesmerized with the quality, style and functionality of this handbag and I am so thrilled that I was chosen to review this product. It was honestly an honor! If this isn't reason enough to be impressed with Glass Handbag, you must know that for every bag purchased, $3.00 will benefit the Public Education Foundation, which is an awesome gesture!

You can view all of the Glass Handbag products and styles on the website, Facebook or Twitter.

One lucky reader will be able to win their very own Glass Handbag, and choose from ANY bag in the Glass Handbag Leather Handbag Collection, thanks to the generosity of the sponsor. Simply enter on the Rafflecopter form below beginning September 1, 2012...Good Luck!

Ubbi Diaper Pail Review

Links to this post

I was recently asked to review the Ubbi Diaper Pail, and I must say that this is the most durable diaper pail I have ever seen. The Ubbi Diaper Pail is made of powder coated steel, a material that will not absorb odors like the traditional plastic diaper pails. When I say that it is made of steel, you may have the impression that this product is plain and "industrial like" in appearance. Not at all! My pail is a beautiful light pink, but also available in the following colors:

  • light blue
  • white
  • hot pink
  • hot blue
  • purple
  • ivory
  • gray
  • orange
  • robin's egg blue

Each diaper pail is equipped with child proof safety locks to prevent any unwanted tampering by your little ones! If that isn't enough to convince you that this is the best diaper pail on the market, then you should know that the Ubbi Diaper pail is safe, convenient and economical, you can use standard kitchen bags instead of searching stores and online for those hard to find refills. What a savings!

In addition to the gorgeous colors, you can also decorate your diaper pail with the most adorable decals. Each package of decals includes 20 pre-cut decals, all self-adhesive, washable and easily removable if you ever change your nursery decor!

You can order your own Ubbi  Diaper Pail on their website or visit them on Facebook or Twitter!

Nettalk Duo WiFi Review and Giveaway!

Links to this post
Like many households today, I did away with my landline home telephone a few years ago. Instead my family and I use our cell phones. The home telephone became an expensive service in our home, more of a luxury than anything. I was convinced that having a central telephone service in our home would never happen again until I was given the opportunity to review Nettalk Duo WiFi Phone Service.

When I received my Nettalk package, I immediately handed it over to my husband to install since he is our tech guru! There was no need...the hook up was extremely simple and directions were user friendly. On top of that, technical support is readily available for any questions or concerns.

I've now had the Nettalk Duo WiFi Phone Service in my home for about three weeks and my family loves it! We have home telephone service, with no problems. We even were able to choose our own telephone number!

The price for their basic plan is free with the purchase of the equipment for one year. The next year their basic plan is $29.95 per year plus tax. That’s less than $3 a month for phone service. The basic plan gives you free US  and Canada calling. They also have a North American package (US, Mexico, Canada) and even International calling at low rates.

Nettalk Duo is available at Target as well as other leading retailers and all information is available on Facebook, Twitter and the Nettalk Duo website.

Nettalk Duo WiFi Phone Service has been generous enough to sponsor this giveaway for one lucky reader to win their own package Enter below to win!

I received one or more products for review. All opinions are completely my own.

Is There A Coupon For That?

Links to this post
Most of us know a little to quite a bit about coupons, where to find them, how to match them with a sale or even how to interpret a coupon. We buy everything from cat food to baby food using coupons, but did you know that there are coupons for much larger purchases or for everyday services that we all use at one time or another? Well, there is a coupon for almost everything!

  1. Online purchases...there are tons of coupons sites to get online coupon codes. In addition to the coupon database sites, always search on the merchant's website, there may be a coupon code for a percentage off, free shipping or even a free item with purchase. Whether, online or in the store, never pay full price for something if you don't have to!
  2. Appliances...is it just me or are appliances always on sale? Whether there is a sale or not, appliances are expensive, so every little bit of savings is important to most of us. Sign up for any rewards programs, newsletters or websites for your favorite stores. These stores will periodically mail out not just the sales flyer, but also coupons!
  3. Oil Changes...I've found the best coupons for local or even national chain oil changes on a grocery store Catalina after shopping. Always check the back of your receipt too!
  4. Clothing stores...Anytime I go shopping for clothes, shoes or accessories, I always check one of the many "Apps" that I have downloaded to my phone. These coupon applications list a variety of merchants and give coupons codes for store discounts. I've never had a problem using a coupon code from my phone while at the cash register. Normally the cashier is aware of the codes being offered and is more than happy to use it!
These are just a few ideas and suggestions for saving money...good luck and happy couponing!

Mont Bleu Review!

Links to this post

I recently had the opportunity to review some gorgeous products from the Mont Bleu Company. The first item was a beautiful compact mirror made from metal and decorated with Swarovski crystals. This high quality steel and splendid decoration with the Swarovski elements will definitely find admirers!

Next I received a glass nail file, made of Czech, hardened glass and superbly decorated with Swarovski crystals in various, original designs. Each glass nail file is almost unbreakable in everyday use and the polishing surface has a lifelong guarantee.

My third review item from Mont Bleu was a Swarovski eyebrow tweezers in a beautiful yellow color. Each tweezer is available in a variety of colors and all decorated with crystals and delivered in a black velvet pouch.

You can view these amazing beauty items or purchase them for yourself by visiting Mont Bleu on Facebook, Twitter or their website.

Disclosure: I was not compensated for this review but did receive one or more items to review. All opinions are my own.

10 Realistic Uses for Olive Oil!

Links to this post
Olive oil...we cook with it, but have you ever wondered if there were other practical uses for this wonderful Mediterranean oil? Yes, there are many, but here are my favorite!

  1. Olive oil can provide a much closer shave when used in place of shaving cream.
  2. Many cleaning agents can dull and even corrode chrome and stainless steel, but olive oil is a safe and very effective shining product!
  3. To remove eye make-up, rub a little on and wash off with a wash cloth and warm water.
  4. To prevent wax from sticking to a candle holder, rub a dab or olive oil on the base and insert your candle.
  5. Add an 1/8 of a teaspoon to your pet's food to prevent hairballs! Who knew??
  6. Moisturize your cuticles with olive oil instead of using expensive cosmetic oils.
  7. For dry skin, rub a thin layer over your skin after a shower.
  8. To unstick a stuck zipper, put a little on a Q-Tip and rub on the zipper.
  9. Add a bit to a dust cloth and rub on wood furniture for a clean shine.
  10. Lubricate the hinges of a squeaky door.
Now...find and  print a coupon for your favorite olive oil and see what other uses you can come up with!

Protein Bakery Review & Giveaway!

I recently had the opportunity to review snack products from The Protein Bakery. I was sent a large assortment of products including brownies, cookies, and blondies. You would think by just looking at these scrumptious snacks that they are loaded with sugar, preservatives and that they are completely unhealthy. Definitely not so! These snacks allow you to indulge your sweet tooth without overeating of feeling guilty.

My kids were in heaven when I opened the box and allowed them to try whatever they wanted. I knew that these snacks were made with Whey Protein which is absorbed into the body much easier than other proteins, and some of these amazing snacks are high in fiber, not to mention, Trans fat-free!

Now that I've covered the nutritional value of eating these snacks, I will move on to taste. Yes, the taste was wonderful and each product was fresh and moist upon opening. My favorite was the Black & White Blondie...wow...delicious!

You can view all of the snacks that The Protein Bakery has to offer by vising their website, Facebook page, Twitter page and by viewing them on YouTube!

Do you have a child with ADHD?

Links to this post
If you have a child with AD/HD, then this article may be something that you're interested in reading. My son was diagnosed with AD/HD just over a year ago, but we have known for some time that there was something wrong. I think a parent always knows. Needless to say, I am very interested in any information regarding AD/HD, and L.H. Press, Inc. is an amazing source for this disorder and many others.

Here is small exercise from a book published by L.H. Press, Inc., called AD/HD Success! Solutions for Boosting Self-Esteem

If Your Kids Could Say What Is Really On Their Minds...!
Directions: Read each item. Have your child put a check mark next to the items that he/she can relate to.

  1. "Please help me to focus." Teach me with a "hands-on" approach rather than telling me!
  2. "I need to know what to expect next." Please give me a chance for quiet time just to relax. If you make changes to my routine, could you please let me know ahead of time? I hate changes!
  3. "Wait for me." I will get it.; it just takes me a little longer. I'm still trying to figure this thing out. Please don't rush me - I will get confused and want to quit. Can we come back to this one later?
  4. "Please give me directions one step at a time." Could you encourage me to tell you what I think you said?
  5. "Please remind me to set my watch." You know I don't have such a great sense of time. I need short periods of time to study. Can I take breaks in between?
  6. "Please tell me that my progress is good enough." Do I have to be perfect?
  7. "Please remind me of all my good points when I'm having a bad day!"
  8. "Practice what you preach!"
My son is too young to complete the exercise with me, but these steps did help me to really understand what he goes through and how I should handle it!

Inexpensive Organization Ideas

Links to this post

Are you looking for ways to conquer your clutter? To organize those spaces that drive you crazy every time you look at them? I'm always looking for ways to keep my house neat and tidy, although with a large family, it  is sometimes impossible. Here are a few tips that I've found to keep my sanity!

Organization - Batteries

  • Tackle that junk drawer! Use drawer organizers found at any office supply or even at the dollar store. As long as there are small sections, you should be able to see what you have!
  • Reuse shoe boxes or the box your checks come in from the bank to organize drawers or to store a collection of items. Shoe boxes are easily stacked and can even be labeled for easy access.
  • Place your instruction manuals or product warranty information in a three ring binder.
  • Hang a three-tiered wire kitchen basket from the ceiling of a closet for extra storage, in empty corners. What a great place to put socks!
  • Hang one of those fabric covered, collapsing shelves from a closet rod to organize your kid's outfits for the week or for your  jeans or sweaters.
  • If space allows, attach some delicate, silver nails to your closet wall and hang jewelry from them. This can be creative and practical!
  • Keep one area of your utility closet, pantry or linen closet for items such as party things. Stow them in labeled boxes for easy access and to avoid purchasing what you don't need next time you entertain.

There are tons of organizational ideas and products out there today, some more expensive than others and some you may already have in your own. The key is to utilize your creative and organizational instincts and do what works best for you and your family.
